Physics - 2 trimesters
Through projects, competitions, and problem-solving students will explore forces, work and energy, and momentum. Students will develop a deep understanding of the interplay which exists between theoretical science and engineering as they explore how physics relates to the real world of cars, computers, and satellites. The relationship between mathematics and the natural Universe will be a substantial component of the course. Specific topics for the first half of the course will be one dimensional, and two-dimensional motion, the Laws of Motion, momentum, and collisions, and relativity. During the second half of the course, students will explore electricity, magnetism, waves sound, and optics.
