This class is designed to give students a basic understanding of music and to inspire an appreciation for music from a variety of genres and cultures. We will study the components of music, explore North American music, discover the genres of classical music, and investigate film music. Students will create their own instrument out of recycled or re-purposed materials, create their own soundtrack, and demonstrate their knowledge through various other hands-on activities.
