Course Summary
World Geography is a senior level course and is part of the college preparation track. This course is one trimester long and worth one-half credit. During this trimester we will be covering areas prescribed by the State of Minnesota in the Geography Standards: geospatial skills, places and regions, human systems and human environmental interaction. The state of Minnesota requires this course for graduation.
Supplies Needed
During this course students will be doing a great deal of work with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) using ArcGIS online. Computer and internet access will be important during this trimester. If you do not have easy access to a computer and internet, please communicate with Mrs. Nelson as soon as possible.
Current Events
Students will be following a team of countries that will be used in most assignments. It is expected that students will stay up to date on current events within these countries throughout the trimester.
