Sam Wakefield
AFSA High School Dean of Students
651-209-3914
My name is Sam Wakefield, and I am the Dean of Students at AFSA High School. I have worked in education for 12 years as a teacher and administrator. I started my career as a physical and health education teacher but have transitioned to dean of students and assistant principal roles. I graduated from Bethel University for my bachelor’s degree and most recently graduated from Concordia University with my master’s in educational leadership and attained my Principal Licensure. I am passionate about making sure students’ needs are met and allowing them to grow as students and people. My leadership philosophy is that a great leader creates leaders around them. I want to help bring about the strengths around me to create an educational environment that brings success to students and educators. I am excited for this next year and I hope to continue to grow as an educator.
